Ben Gordon and Villanueva agree with Pistons

Ben Gordon walked out of Detroit today with an agreement that will make him a Piston when free agents can sign. The deal is a 5-year deal worth 55 million dollars. July 8th is the first day officially free agents can sign contracts. The Pistons reportedly also agreed with PF Charlie Villanueva to a 5- year 35 million dollar contract.

The Pistons get two solid players that could make a difference immediately. Do you think Ben Gorndon fits in Detroit? I thought Ben Gordon was another guard who reminded me of Allen Iverson. He needed alot of touches to be successful. Now you have two players who can score, along with Rip Hamilton who already was displeased coming off of the bench. This could work or it could be a disappointment that leads to another familiar season.
Now the Cavaliers have some decisions to make considering they were high on Villanueva who surprised us by going to Detroit with friend Ben Gordon. Their are still some talented players out there such as Lakers Lamar Odom, Utah Paul Millsap, Knicks PF David Lee, Rockets SF Ron Artest, Toronto SF Shawn Marion, and many others that might not be big named free agents, but could have a big impact on this team. Stay tuned for more details on this big year for free agency.
