Primetime Sports for the month of April

On the April Edition of PrimeTime Sports Josh and I add a few new segments where we debate certain Cleveland Topics and National Sports topics. The names of the segments are: The 12 Pack of questions, Keep It or Leave It, and Studs and Duds. Studs and Duds are video's we find that are either great or hard to watch because of how bad they are! If you see any video's worthy of being on this segment email us at primetimesports @hotmail.com.

Also another segment could bring back fond memories of the old stadiums in Cleveland and Richfield. Video that was taken when each of the stadiums was torn down, and some of the last games there. A special you won't want to miss.

We hope you enjoy the April edition of PrimeTime sports, and any ideas or thoughts please email us again at primetimesports@hotmail.com.

Browns sign Trusnik, Release TE Heiden

The Browns have been looking at the roster and cutting out what they don't like and what they do like. The Browns announced signing LB Jason Trusnik to a one-year deal. Trusnik came to the Browns in the trade that sent WR Braylon Edwards to the Jets. He also played his college ball at Ohio Northern.

Trusnik made 56 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season, for Cleveland.

Veteran TE Steve Heiden was released. The signing of Benjamin Watson might have pushed Heiden off of the depth chart. Heiden was out most of last year with a knee injury. He caught 10 passes for 73 yards and 1 TD last year. He joined the Browns back in 2002. His career numbers look like this: 201 receptions for 1,689 yards, and 14 TDs.

Trades for the Browns

The Browns front office and Mike Holmgren have been very busy lately. Not wasting anytime in making moves to acquire draft picks and players, the Browns believe building for the draft is key to their success. Here are a few of the latest trades that happened this weekend:

Denver gets QB Brady Quinn

Browns get FB Peyton Hillis, 6th round draft pick in 2011, and an unconditional draft pick in 2012

The Browns also made a trade with the Oakland Raiders. Here is the breakdown:

Raiders get LB Kamerion Wimbley

Browns get an undisclosed draft pick

Wimbley seemed to improve as the season went on last year recording over 60 tackles and making 6 sacks. Somewhat of a surprising move, but could Shawn Rodgers be next? The Browns need a playmaker so be ready for moves ahead!

Veteran TE Ben Watson Signs

TE Veteran Ben Watson knows what it takes to win. That's why Thursday night, the Browns signed Watson to a multi-year deal. The Browns hope to improve the tight end position which has lacked since Kellen Winslow left for Tampa. Watson (6-foot-3, 255 pounds) was the 32nd pick in 2004. He’s started 47 games with 167 catches for 2,102 yards and 20 touchdowns.

He played in 16 games in 2009 with seven starts, catching 29 passes for 404 yards and five touchdowns.

A collection of Browns tight ends totaled 42 catches, 469 yards and three touchdowns in 2009.

This is another way the Browns hope to get a more dynamic offense. Look for more moves soon.

Oakland Raiders running back Justin Fargas is also in town and could sign to be an important back-up or starter depending on Jerome Harrison's production.

Other Browns News:

Ex Brown Brodney Pool signed a one year deal with the NY Jets
Ex Browns Rex Hadnot signed a 3-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals
