Cavs dominate Pistons, Indians beat Yanks!

The Cavaliers came out and dominated Game 1 of their series with the Detroit Pistons 102-84.  Lebron James has seen all kinds of defenses, and today was no different.  The Pistons had no answer for Lebron who came out and scored 38 points for the Cavs.  There were five players who scored in double digits, Mo Williams, Delonte West, and Z each scored 12 points.  The first quarter was close with the Cavs up 30-25.  The second quarter was different which had the Cavs leading at half 57-45.  From there Cleveland was in complete control.  Game two begins on Tuesday at the Q.

The day continued to go Cleveland's way, when the Indians scored 14 runs in the Bronx.  The Indians ended up winning in a laugher 22-4.  The Yanks have struggled opening up their new ballpark.  currently they are 1-2.    The Indians had 25 hits and took out Wang who only pitched 1 inning and gave up eight runs.  His ERA is now 34.50 on the year.  The Indians now improved to 4-8 on the year.  They will finish up the series with the Yanks tomorrow at 1 pm.

Indians beat Yanks in opener, lose in game 2

The Indians dominated the Bronx bombers in the First ever home game at the new stadium 10-2.  The second game was looking good for the Tribe who jumped out to a 5-3 lead.   The Bullpen struggled in the late innings combining with Vince Chaulk, and reliever Jensen Lewis.  They could not hold the lead, which seems to be a problem so far for the Indians.  Can this bullpen relax, and shut out teams later in the season?  We will see as we get into this season, that so far has had many ups and downs.  The Indians dropped to 3-8 on the young season.  They get back into action tomorrow at 3:30.

Mel Kiper's Draft on Browns changed

When reading all the different thoughts and opinions about the Browns it makes you wonder who is right?  Mel Kiper of ESPN has been a draft expert for years.  He has continued to be, for the most part right on.  This year has seemed to throw him for a loop when it comes to the Browns.  Now, Mel Kiper thinks the Browns will select WR Michael Crabtree from Texas Tech.  I thought the same thing when Dante Stallworth had his own problems.

The defense has picked up free agent, after free agent.  Offensively the Browns have only a few wide receivers currently who can be effective.  Braylon Edwards needs to be one of them this year, if he wants to be in Cleveland's future plans.  The next WR would be David Patten who the Browns signed earlier.  He came from the New Orleans Saints.  After that can you name other wide receivers???  Michael Crabtree would be a great fit, for the Browns who look for a wide receiver who can catch the ball and be a playmaker.   He was sensational all year and will be a great talent in the NFL.  The only worry is he did have foot surgery.  Other than that there are no worries with Crabtree as a player.

  Here is his profile:

Michael Crabtree- 6-1 215 lbs Texas tech

231 catches for 3,127 yards and 41 touchdowns in just two years
Received the  Fred Biletnikoff Award honors in each of his two college seasons
Looking at the combine, many experts compared him to Anquan Boldin of the Arizona Cardinals.

Indians look to get win in Home Opener

The Indians did not have a good start in Texas.  Losing their first three games, and the starting pitching with an ERA of over 10.00 per start.  It is early, but this team needs to get some good innings from the starters if they want to contend in the AL Central.  The hitting will come around, with the talent of Grady Sizemore, Victor Martinez, and Mark DeRosa.  Others also have displayed the hitting won't be a problem.  Today the Indians take on the Blue Jays who took 3 of 4 games from the Tigers.  This will be a good test to see if this young team can bounce back.  Can this team contend?  The AL Central will be up for grabs if you ask me.

Cavs sign Jawad Williams

Jawad Williams was happy to be back in a Cavaliers uniform.  He averaged over 25 points in D-League.  The Cavaliers are still trying for the best record in the NBA, and are close to getting it with limited games left.  Currently the Cavs have a 1/2 game lead over the Lakers.  Cleveland is also trying to match the best home record with a 38-1 record.  Is this team the best Cleveland team ever?  Lets wait and see....
