Indians Thoughts

Now that the Indians have supplied other teams with our star players, what do you think the Tribe needs to do now? What could be the next good approach?

While I didn't necessarily agree with trading Cliff Lee (who was our only ace), and Victor Martinez who was a fan favorite, and our only source of offense during this season at times. I do agree with getting some highly rated prospects that our ready for the major leagues NOW. Pitcher Justin Masterson is a great example of a young kid who is ready for the majors NOW. The other prospects we received that are in single A ball are a chance. They are not guranteed to be a great prospect once they make it to triple A or great players. This seems like a trend the Indians are content with. Letting our stars go because they will want more money we can't afford. It is time to get an owner who can bring something to Cleveland like Daniel Gilbert is doing with the Cavs. They haven't won yet, but he is investing money to bring the talent to Cleveland to give the city a chance at a Championship. The Cavs have been to the playoffs much more than the Indians have in the last few years, and the Cavaliers don't have to rebuild every year but just add pieces.

Its hit or miss with the Tribe. I will continue to support and watch this team, but the trend of rebuilding after every season grows old with the fans quick, and it has shown.

Cavs Rumors

Former Celtics forward Leon Powe's camp says the Cavs might be his No. 1 choice. There's no indication yet that the Cavs have offered a contract. But that could happen - and might have already happened. His camp says the Cavs are very interested in the 6-8, 240-pounder. "It would be nice to work something out," agent Aaron Goodwin said. "He's an incredible young man. (The Cavs are a) great, patient organization."
