When reading all the different thoughts and opinions about the Browns it makes you wonder who is right? Mel Kiper of ESPN has been a draft expert for years. He has continued to be, for the most part right on. This year has seemed to throw him for a loop when it comes to the Browns. Now, Mel Kiper thinks the Browns will select WR Michael Crabtree from Texas Tech. I thought the same thing when Dante Stallworth had his own problems.
The defense has picked up free agent, after free agent. Offensively the Browns have only a few wide receivers currently who can be effective. Braylon Edwards needs to be one of them this year, if he wants to be in Cleveland's future plans. The next WR would be David Patten who the Browns signed earlier. He came from the New Orleans Saints. After that can you name other wide receivers??? Michael Crabtree would be a great fit, for the Browns who look for a wide receiver who can catch the ball and be a playmaker. He was sensational all year and will be a great talent in the NFL. The only worry is he did have foot surgery. Other than that there are no worries with Crabtree as a player.
Here is his profile:
Michael Crabtree- 6-1 215 lbs Texas tech
231 catches for 3,127 yards and 41 touchdowns in just two years
Received the Fred Biletnikoff Award honors in each of his two college seasons
Looking at the combine, many experts compared him to Anquan Boldin of the Arizona Cardinals.
