Cavs could have another PG by end of the week

The Cavs first try at a point guard was thrown off track by the Houston Rockets who wanted to retain PG Kyle Lowry. Lowry was a guard who likes to push the ball, is quick, and can score. Look for the Cavaliers to find a point guard with the exact same qualities. Sources say the front office is trying very hard to find that point guard by the end of this week. Here are a few guards who are on their radar:

1. Ramon Sessions- Twolves guard
With the Twolves signing free agent PG Luke Ridnour now that makes Sessions available. Sessions is also good friends with Mo Williams because of their playing days with Milwaukee. Sessions averaged 8.2 pts and 3.1 assists in his first year with Minnesota. Sessions did not get very much playing time but did well when he got the chance.

2. Mike Conley,Jr- The former Buckeye had a breakout year with the Grizzlies averaging 12.3 pts, 5.3 assists and shot 45%. Conley is quick and can push the ball which would fit Byron Scotts offense. Memphis is looking to use more OJ Mayo at the point guard spot so this could make Conley available.

With the philosophy change of new Head Coach Byron Scott the Cavaliers won't have all half court sets anymore. Scott wants the Cavs to get out and run. Watch for moves in the coming days.

Cavs sign Lowry to offer sheet, Rockets match offer

The Cavaliers are looking for a good young point guard to either back up or start . Currently PG Mo Williams is the starter, but just in case he is on the trading block, Lowry would be a key pickup. He is fast with a good shot, and has no problem creating a shot for other players.

Lowry spent last season with Houston, where he averaged 9.1 points and 4.5 assists in 68 games. The Rockets have seven days to match Cleveland’s offer, which a person familiar with the contract said is for three years and includes a fourth-year option.

The Cavs confirmed their offer to Lowry on Wednesday.

The Cavaliers tried to sign Kyle Lowry but not even 12 hours after the Rockets have matched the Cavaliers offer. The Cavs also tried a sign and trade but the Rockets declined.

The Cavs are now trying to trade for a good, quick up tempo guard to fit Byron Scotts offense. We will wait and see what the Cavs front office can come up with.

Bosh sign and trade to Cleveland?

According to sources there is yet another change with the free agent tracker. The last few weeks Lebron James has been actively recruiting Toronto Raptors Center Chris Bosh, to come play with him in Cleveland. While Bosh said he would love to play with Lebron, he rather play with Lebron in Chicago, NJ, or Miami. Sources say as it goes on, Bosh would probably give in and agree to a sign and trade that would bring him to Cleveland.

The Raptors have also said they would agree to a sign and trade that would send Bosh to Cleveland. The young talent that the Cavaliers have could be the deciding factor. The Cavaliers could package the likes of F JJ. Hickson, F Andy Varejao, G Delonte West, and their first round draft pick in 2011 if need be. Varejao, and Parker both sign deals with Cavs, Other NBA News

If you think the Cavaliers are going to sit around and watch playoff teams make moves you are mistaken.

The Cavaliers first signed PF Anderson Varejao to a 6-year contract that that could pay him $50 million in incentives. It is closer to about $7 million a year. Then, the Cavaliers jumped at the chance to add another "perfect piece" to the puzzle. Free agent veteran swingman Anthony Parker signed a 2-year deal work $6 million a year. Parker averaged 10.7 points 3.4 assists last year playing in 80 games for the Raptors. Parker is a player that is 6-6 and can guard the perimeter. Not to mention in his career he averaged about 4 rebounds a game. A much needed piece the Cavaliers have been looking for. Now the Cavs can focus on another big man in free agency.
